ATHENS GRAND PRIX "TSIKLITIRIA" Athens, May 24rd, 2002

The athlete who put an end in the domination og the Amerivan Marion Jones in the 100m. race, will be present in this years "Tsiklitiria" Grand Prix. It is of course, Zhana Pintusevich-Block, who will come in Athens in order to participate in the race of the 10th June, organized by Panellinios A.C.

The 30 Year old sprinder from Ukraine, won in the 100m. race of the World Championship witch was held last August in Edmonton, Canada, leaving Marion Jones in the second place. Pintusevich's time was 10.82. This was also the best performansce for 2001.

In 1997 in the Athens World Championship, Pintusevich had won the 200m. race. For the champion of the 100m. the "Tsiklitiria" Grand Prix will be the first strong test in Outdoor Athletics For the forthcoming World Championship, whitch is going to be held in Munich this August.

Zhana Pintusevich-Block was born in July 6th, 1072 and the last decade plays a leading part in all the major events of Classical Athltics. Her personal record in 100m. is 10.82, performance she achieved last August in Edmonton's World Championship and gave her the gold medal in the 100m. In 200m. her personal record is 22.17, performance she achieved in 1997, the year she became World champion of the event.
